Centre for Mindfulness Studies
The Centre for Mindfulness Studies is a charitable social enterprise offering professional development and service delivery organization for mindfulness-based interventions in Canada. They provide mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), mindful self-compassion (MSC) and specialized mindfulness training to the general public, healthcare providers, and social service professionals.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a two day interactive course with a focus on adults with mental health problems. Practical skills are taught using a model that is easy to apply in real life settings. Previous experience dealing with mental health issues is not required.
In partnership with Homewood Health, McMaster Human Resources offer leaders and their teams the opportunity to book a variety of workplace-based learning sessions to explore topics ranging from general knowledge to personal health and wellness strategies, including effective approaches to managing stress, team interaction, work-life integration, and family dynamics.
